10. Soda
Soda and other carbonated drinks are highly acidic. Another issue is the fact that they contain carbon dioxide, which can cause your esophagus to open due to the pressure of the bubbles. Although water is of course the best option, if you insist on carbonated drinks try to let it sit a while first.
11. Chocolate
Chocolate is a triple whammy: high in fat, caffeine, and a natural relaxant. Seriously, how can something so good be so bad for us? Make sure if you give in to your chocolate craving to eat it in moderation and avoid anything that is extravagant (that means chocolate brownies with chocolate ice cream smothered in chocolate fudge). This warning is especially important for pregnant woman as they might crave chocolate but are at a higher risk of experiencing heartburn.
