Scenery is a Must
When you’re choosing a route, consider one that looks, smells and feels good. There’s a lot to be said about an enjoyable run in the park versus the concrete jungle. If hills kill you then choose a route that doesn’t have too many.
Whether the scenery is a forest trail, a beach, or a local park choose to be surrounded by nature and you’ll find a huge mental boost from your run, and the motivation to keep going when times get tough.
Don’t be afraid to mix up your routes, too. Running the same route every time will soon get boring and may not offer the challenge you’re looking for.
