Bloody Stool
The most common reason for blood in stool include conditions such as hemorrhoids or anal fissures but it can also be indicative of different inflammatory diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome or ulcerative colitis. However, bloody stool can also be due to tumors caused by colon cancer. That is why it is often recommended for those over the age of fifty to undergo a colonoscopy every two years so that any issues in the digestive track can be found. So, if you happen to experience blood in your stool take a trip to your doctor and let them know. And try not to be embarrassed; they have seen it all.
