This one might seem obvious but it is often overlooked, believe it or not. Overusing your leg muscles can lead to them cramping up. This is why you often see Olympic runners hitting their legs in attempt of decreasing the odds of this happening.
If you’re going on a long run, or you’re doing a boot camp, you might experience cramping later on. This is due to the nervous system, using any muscle group a lot can lead to the nerves telling your muscles to move to get “overexcited.” Therefore, try not to overdo it and do not forget to stretch.
