Never Go Inside
Advise your children that they are never to accept invitations to enter a stranger’s home or vehicle, no matter what they are promised. Just because Halloween opens up the chance to knock on someone’s door, it does not mean those people are friendly and mean well.
Teach your children to say no. If you have young children in the group, it is best to establish chaperones who can steer them away from danger. Additionally, if the person inviting them becomes insistent, tell the kids to inform an adult right away and to move on immediately.
