Walk Together In Groups
No matter the time of day or the occasion, it is always smarter to move as a unit than alone, especially for children. Letting a child go door-to-door alone increases the risk of them getting hurt, lost, or even abducted.
Walking with a group and establishing a buddy system is a great way to keep everyone visible and safe. There is also security in moving with a bigger group. If there are not enough children around to form a group, adults should then volunteer to chaperone. Of course, depending on where you live, a chaperone might be needed regardless of group size.
