Persistent Coughing
We have likely all suffered from a nasty cough that just does not seem to want to go away. Luckily, a persistent cough on its own is not a sign of a heart issue. However, if you happen to exhibit other symptoms on this list, then do not discount your long-lasting coughing as unrelated. This is especially the case if your persistent cough is accompanied with white or pink mucus. Both can be signs of heart failure as an unhealthy heart can cause blood to bleed back into the lungs. It is crucial that you bring this to your doctor’s attention right away.
