Muscle Pain
Myalgia or muscle pain is another early shingles warning sign. Shingles-related muscle pain is usually characterized as painful tingling pain (resembling piercing needles). The muscle pain usually affects leg and arm muscles. The pain can be experienced as muscle soreness alongside other malaise symptoms. The muscle pain tends to linger like headaches caused by shingles. This symptom can be hard to treat. It may last for years after treatment. In most cases, however, the pain should be gone in a month without medication.
