Hepatitis Treatment
Once contracted, there’s no specific treatment for Hepatitis A. In most cases, patients recover 100% on their own. Doctors, however, recommend certain precautions. For instance, individuals who are in the recovery process shouldn’t take drugs or alcohol. Patients are also supposed to be on a healthy diet that increases the strength of the immune system.
Hepatitis B is treatable with prescription medicine including antiviral drugs like entecavir, adefovir, lamivudine, and telbivudine. Hepatitis B patients should eat diets that are rich in protein to help the liver recover from the damage caused by the hepatitis virus. Hepatitis B patients should also get a lot of rest to be able to deal with symptoms such as fatigue. Patients should also focus on healthy lifestyle habits such as exercising to aid recovery.
