Ridding Your Home of Lice
Head lice do not survive long when not feeding off a human. However, it is a good precaution to wash the bedding and towels in addition to any clothing worn in the last two days of those being treated for them. Make sure to use hot water to kill the head lice.
There should be no need to wash your child’s favourite stuffed playthings. A thirty-minute spin in a hot clothes dryer should do the trick.
