If You Suspect Head Lice
One problem with head lice is that they will not go away without treatment. If you think that you or your child has been infected with head lice, talk to your doctor to ensure that this is the correct diagnosis. It is also important to inform your child’s school or day care so that they can take the proper precautions to limit the spread of head lice.
Don’t assume that only young children can be affected so make sure to examine yourself and other older family members. Although it should go without saying, not treating everyone in the family concurrently can head to a re-infestation.
