How Head Lice Spread
Head lice are usually spread from one person to the other through direct contact from one’s head to the other.
Contrary to what many might think, head lice are not acrobatics or aerialists and cannot jump or fly from one person’s head to the next. However, they can live for a short time on clothing and other items, especially hats and hairbrushes that come in direct contact with a person’s head.
