    Who Gets Head Lice?

    Although anybody can get head lice, they are much more common in places where young children play together like day care, libraries, and schools. One issue is that young children tend to play closely together and will share things like hats and hair clips.

    Therefore, if one child in a class has head lice it is likely that others do as well, especially in earlier grades. Head lice are often then passed on to parents and other siblings.
