Head Lice Myths
Some people believe in the falsehood that head lice only affect those of a lower socioeconomic status and/or poor hygiene. However, this is not the case. Head lice do not discriminate and can infect people regardless of social class or hygiene habits.
Head lice are persistent and can live up to six hours in water. Another myth about head lice is that they carry diseases, but luckily this too is untrue.
