Wear Weather-Appropriate Shoes

October tends to be a month of unpredictable weather. You never know if the weather is going to be warm or cool, dry or wet. Therefore, you should keep your eyes trained to the weather map and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws your way.

While comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes might not always match the costume, it is better than getting cold, wet feet or blisters after walking around for hours. If you live in the northern states or somewhere that sometimes sees ice and snow in October or early November, it might be wise to send children out in waterproof boots (or bring some spare shoes along) to protect their feet.
