Unerring Trust
Trust and honesty are two key factors in a healthy and long-lasting relationship. White lies once in a while can be acceptable, but if these lies tend to stack up, or if your partner has lied to you about significant events in the past or has purposely hidden something objectionable from you, this should be a red flag.
You should have open communication and trust one another enough to disclose information. Any form of dishonesty could destroy a relationship.
“At the core, you should never have to ask your partner to trust you,” says Dr. Klapow. “A healthy relationship means your behaviors are such that their trust is never violated.”
