Parasites
There are many parasites that can infect the digestive system and lead to stomachaches. Parasites can be ingested from unclean food or food prepared in unsanitary conditions. You are also at risk of getting parasites whenever you swim in or drink unclean water. Pasteurized beverages, like apple cider, also run the risk of getting you infested. Parasites are known to cause all kinds of stomach woes, like bloating, diarrhea, gas, nausea, pain, cramping, and other GI problems.
The most common parasites in North America are Cryptosporidium and Giardia. These parasites will work their way into the digestive tract and stay for about a week before wreaking havoc on your stomach.
