Nuts and Seeds
What do Brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds all have in common? Omega-3 fatty acids and PUFAs. You can even add peanuts to this list. Although some kids have allergies to nuts and seeds, those that don’t should be eating roasted nuts (unsalted) and nut butters. The proteins, healthy fats, minerals, and phytonutrients can help with brain development, satiety, and even boost mood and concentration. For instance, almonds contain trace amounts of zinc.
