Swap the traditional bread stuffing
The co-star to the turkey is, of course, the stuffing. There is no such thing as turkey without stuffing on this festive day. Traditional turkey stuffing can be made from scratch with bread, eggs, and margarine or butter. White bread especially is rich in carbohydrates, fat, and calories. This, plus the fats and calories from the other ingredients, creates a recipe for weight gain. However, you can go for gluten-free alternatives that are way healthier and will keep your guests fuller longer. Gluten-free cornbread, quinoa, oatmeal, and sticky rice make excellent alternatives to traditional bread stuffing. And they tantalize the tastes buds just as much as regular stuffing does.
