Boils
Another common symptom of a staph infection is boils that are a result of the staph bacteria entering the skin via oil glands or hair follicles. When the body becomes area of the infection, white blood cells do their best to fight of infection the result if blocked areas of skin due to too much pus development (fun fact, pus is made up of protein, white blood cells, and bacteria). These boils can become swollen and red in color and can be accompanied with a fever, another sign that the body is trying to fight off infection.
