Learn To Say No
You don’t always have to say yes or maybe to suggestions when you absolutely want no part of it. This means saying no to things that do not make you happy, including drugs and alcohol.
Avoiding recreational drugs and alcohol is one step to reducing anxiety. Many people turn to alcohol to cope with unwanted emotions, but you receive no solace. When you stop saying yes to risky behaviors, you will find it easier to stay calm and in control of your emotions.
Similarly, you are allowed to turn down offers. If you are too busy or not feeling well, you should focus on yourself first.
