Topless Tupperware
Most people have some Tupperware or other plastic storage containers sitting in various drawers and cabinets. Furthermore, a good portion of those containers have been kept around long after their lids went missing or you have lids sitting around without a container to seal them up with. Maybe you made due with a replacement lid that doesn’t quite fit securely enough but “it’ll do.” Maybe you have some Tupperware that has been permanently recolored from storing stain-rich foods like spaghetti. The point is, you need to ditch this stuff.
After you make it through organizing and categorizing all of the plastic containers in your kitchen, you will likely be surprised with how few “matching sets” of lid and container you have. The best solution after this step is to neatly arrange everything that remained together where you would normally store your containers and to place all of the orphaned “tops and bottoms” into the trash as neat and orderly as you can to optimize space in the garbage bag.
