Never Remembering People’s Names
Do you ever get introduced to a new person and then realize five minutes later that you have no clue what their name is? This happens to everyone at some time, but if it is a recurring issue for you, it might be a sign of something more severe. There are many different things that cause brief memory lapses, including stress, exhaustion, and hunger.
For some people, regularly forgetting new things is a sign of hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism occurs when your body does not produce enough of the thyroid hormone required for regulating the body. This basically makes everything slow down. Without enough thyroid hormone, you end up feeling foggy, forgetful, and confused. If you experience this and other signs of low thyroid hormone levels, visit a doctor to get your hormone levels checked.
