Snoring
Snoring is not just an issue because it makes the people around you grumpy and sleep deprived. If a person is snoring, it means that something is obstructing their airway. It is often a sign of sleep apnea, a condition that occurs when the airway is temporarily blocked during the process of sleeping. The sleeper might not wake up and notice this lack of air, but they tend to feel tired, forgetful, and confused due to a lack of quality sleep.
In the long run, sleep apnea causes even more issues. Chronic apnea is linked to a higher risk of heart attacks and heart failure. Sleep apnea is very hard to notice. You may only find out you have it if someone tells you that you snore, and you need to take a sleep study to get a proper diagnosis.
