Yellowish Skin and Eyes
If your eyes and skin start taking on a greenish or yellowish hue, it is most likely due to jaundice. Jaundice occurs when bile cannot be processed correctly, and it is a sign that something is going wrong with the liver. Jaundice typically starts out as eyes with a yellowish tint to the white area before it progresses and makes all of your skin yellow.
In many cases of liver failure, the chronic damage shows absolutely no signs until your skin and eyes start turning yellow. At this point, prompt treatment may be required to prevent the condition from becoming fatal. Jaundice can also be a sign of other severe problems like Gilbert’s syndrome, thyroid problems, blocked bile ducts, or anorexia.
