Signs Of Poor Health That Should Not Be Ignored

Graying at an Early Age

Dying hair silver might be a trend among teens these days, but if your hair is turning gray naturally, it might be a sign of a medical problem. Hair begins to take on a white, silver, charcoal, or salt and pepper appearance when the hair follicles stop creating pigment to put color in the hair. This is normal in old age, but it is somewhat unusual before the age of 40.

Premature greying can be a sign that you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, a thyroid gland issue, or a pituitary gland problem. If this is the case, getting treatment can reverse the issue. However, early graying may just be genetic. Those with many family members who went gray at an early age may just need to embrace their new color.
