Changes in Urination or Bowel Movements
If you find yourself noticing any changes in what happens when you use a toilet, it is a sign that something is going wrong. The body creates urine and stool in the process of extracting nutrients from foods and filtering toxins out of the blood stream. Therefore, things like frequent urination or irregular bowel movements may be a reason to get checked out at the doctor’s office.
Changes in urination include urinating more often, having to urinate without actually needing to go, getting up in the middle of the night to urinate, having a weak urine stream, or urinating when you sneeze or laugh. These can be signs of bladder cancer, prostate cancer, diabetes, or kidney problems. Things like constipation, bloody stool, unusually small stool, or diarrhea are also warning signs. THey may indicate issues like bowel cancer, colon polyps, or intestinal inflammation.
