Sexual Dysfunction
Sexual stimulation occurs in the central nervous system. Depending on what nerve pathways in the brain and spine are affected by MS, men might experience a sudden lack of sexual vigor or arousal in the early stages of the disease. Women might experience sudden vaginal dryness.
As the condition progresses, men and women will find that their bodies become less responsive to sexual urges, to touch, and have much lower sex drive. Even if sex is initiated, people with MS have trouble reaching orgasm.
