Nausea
Not surprisingly, with dizziness and migraines and fatigue comes nausea. It is not uncommon to feel nauseous during bouts of lightheadedness or vertigo. In fact, because Meniere’s disease causes vertigo, the symptoms of dizziness and nausea get clumped together. However, that doesn’t mean you may experience only one symptom during a flare up.
When a flare up begins, most patients report feeling the effects of vertigo during the first 24 hours. While most Meniere’s flare ups are usually short, it can begin to feel like a lifetime due to the extent of the symptoms.
Fortunately, while nausea can be inconvenient and bothersome to deal with, there are a number of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines for things like motion sickness or even prescription pills for anti-nausea to help manage the symptom. Another option is getting antibiotics injected into the ear for nausea relief.
