Box What Is Unneeded And Forget The Box Exists
Do you have some container that has remained untouched in over a year’s time. Rather than fret over it, use this is a chance to better strip down to the essentials.
Years, a minimalist noticed that he kept moving a particular carton from place to place. While he rationalized that this much be important, because he kept taking it with him, he eventually realized that it had gone unopened for such a long idea that he had no idea what it housed. This freed him up to unburden himself of the carton; afterall, if it were really the repository for something valuable, he would have likely known what was inside. What is in the box does not matter as much as whether or not you use the box often enough to know.
Take this realization into your own home and ditch any long-unused boxes. You can also be more proactive with this tip. Maybe there is something you have considered shredding but paused at the notion that it might come in handy in the future. Simply put these things into a box, tape the box shut and stow it somewhere out of the way, like a closet or corner of your room. Make a note on both the calendar and the box, indicating the date one year from then. If you do not open the box within a year’s time, it is fit for the dumpster.
