Your Mind Will Get Stronger
Although people often joke about having brain farts or senior moments, like walking into a room and forgetting why, it has been found through research that older adults can have the same mental aptitude, if not more mental toughness, than their younger peers. One study found that older men and women who worked as air traffic controllers often excelled when compared to the younger workers.
Even though cognitive abilities often lessen with age, experience fills in the gaps. If you work to train your brain and stay curious and never stop learning, your mind will be incredibly strong and resilient later in life. Just like going to the gym to train your body, make sure to do plenty of puzzles or read books to feed your brain.
