Eat a Variety of Vegetables
Have you ever looked at a meal that was prepared using a variety of vegetables, each with their unique colors? How do you feel? Hungry. You want to eat what’s on that plate. This is not an accident. Plants have phytonutrients. These phytonutrients build up your immune system.
Blue foods, like blueberries, have anthocyanins that can protect your cells from being damaged and minimize the chances of you getting cancer. We find lycopene in red foods, and these improve your eye health. Kale, broccoli, and other vegetables that are dark green are a powerful source of folate. This nutrient is key in the production of white blood cells.
