Mammograms
A mammography exam or test (commonly known as a mammogram) helps to detect and diagnose breast diseases early. Mammograms are done using low-dose X-ray systems which “see” inside the breasts and take pictures. Mammograms screen the breasts and surrounding tissue for lumps that are too small to be felt by hand. Most doctors recommend mammograms yearly when you turn 40 although you can start having yearly mammograms at age 50 onwards if initial tests are normal.
