Heart Disease Screening
Heart disease or cardiovascular disease is a health condition caused by blocked or narrowed blood vessels resulting in a heart attack, stroke or chest pain. Other heart conditions that affect the heart muscles, rhythm or valves also qualify as forms of heart disease. Cardiovascular disease is among the main killer diseases of women globally. This is precisely why all women aged 50 and above as well as those predisposed to the disease need to be screened annually. Heart disease screening is done using an electrocardiogram, a device which examines the heartbeat for irregularities.
