Potatoes
Potatoes are another good source of plant protein and may work well for people following certain health food regimens. Unfortunately, they do not encourage fat loss and should be avoided. This root vegetable is low in sugary carbs but high in starchy carbs. For example, 1 medium potato alone has approximately 37 g of carbs! This level of carbs goes against the number one rule which is to avoid carbs like the plague. Burn instead of store fat by going for keto foods such as tomatoes, broccoli, green leafy vegetables and other vegetables and fruits low in carbs and sugars. Speaking of rules, another rule of thumb for maintaining ketosis is avoid foods that grow below ground.
