Diet Pops And Sodas
People following this food regimen may opt for zero calorie beverages or diet sodas to avoid sugars and carbs when they have “sweet” cravings. Unfortunately, these carbonated drinks are a misnomer and not diet-friendly or ketogenic. While they may be better than regular carbonated drinks packed with sugars and artificial ingredients, these sodas are loaded with harmful artificial ingredients that don’t support your health goals. For example, some of these sodas contain caramel coloring and aspartame, a low-calorie sweetener. Caramel coloring is made from heating cane sugar. To protect your metabolism and keep your body in fat-burning mode, reach for unsweetened tea, black coffee, or sparkling water.
