Dandelion Root
When you think of dandelions, you no doubt picture that bright yellow weed that pops up in your lawn and garden, much to your dismay. Back in the day, though, dandelions were considered a delicacy and often plucked from lawns for salads, wine, and tea. The root, however, is where most of the nutrition benefit can be found. Dandelion root, which is often found in teas, has been used in holistic treatment against cancer and for flushing toxins out of the digestive system to help heal damaged pancreases.
