Can Kawasaki Disease Be Prevented?
At this time, there is no way to prevent Kawasaki disease. As mentioned earlier, Kawasaki disease has no known causes, only certain risks. That said, there are programs, such as the UCSD Kawasaki Disease Research Program in San Diego, that is working with other researchers throughout the nation and other countries to try to get to the bottom of this disease.
