Excessive Sweating
When the flu starts to affect your body, your immune system will temporarily increase your overall body temperature, inducing a fever. When this happens, you may suddenly find yourself sweating more excessively, even without much physical activity.
Night sweats are a common complaint from people with the flu. You might wake up in the middle of the night completely drenched—and that is never a good feeling. If you are struggling with fever-induced sweating, just remember that you should keep your bedroom cooler than usual and use layers of breathable blankets. Also, avoid cooling yourself down too rapidly, because that can cause shivering, and your body will ultimately feel worse.
You should also make sure that your excessive sweating is not pointing towards a more serious illness, such as meningitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia.
