Muscle Pain
Most people know where their muscle pain stems from. For a lot of people, muscle pain can be the result of poor postural habits, such as slouching at your desk or computer. Sore muscles can also be from a strenuous workout—and that can even be delayed (DOMS). But regardless, you generally know why your muscles feel tense or achy.
However, if you suddenly wake up feeling like you fell off the Empire State Building’s roof, you have a problem. This is especially disconcerting if you have no injuries and didn’t do anything too vigorous lately. Body aches are a symptom of viruses and are often paired with fever, chills, and fatigue. You may even shake. Don’t underestimate muscle pain.
