Dry Cough

A wet cough full of phlegm is usually a symptom that alerts people to a developing illness rather quickly. On the other hand, a lot of individuals will ignore their dry, persistent cough, thinking that the scratchiness or burning is heartburn or allergies or something else.

Unfortunately, a dry cough can be an indicator to a number of viruses. While it might seem harmless, it means you could have been infected. Should it become more frequent and transition into difficulty breathing, get yourself to a hospital or doctor as soon as you can. Something is terribly wrong.

Also, if you have developed a dry cough, be sure to avoid contact with other people as much as you can. Though it may be harmless, there are plenty of viruses right now that are transmitted through droplets and spray from sneezing, coughing, or even talking. It is possible that whatever is causing your cough is contagious.
