Eye Pain and Sensitivity
Aside from muscle pain and headaches, those suffering from the flu can also develop pain in and around the eyes. Sinus pressure can also result in same eye pain. Furthermore, some people my experience something called “photophobia,” or sensitivity to light, alongside burning.
The good news is that these symptoms don’t last forever and will eventually go away as the virus weakens. If you do notice that your eyes are getting worse or develop discharge and are bloodshot, seek medical attention.
