Dizziness
Some patients have reported dizziness caused by the flu, but this is really a symptom of dehydration. Not drinking enough water when you have a fever will lead to reduce blood volume and a drop in overall blood pressure. You will note this whenever you stand up or sit down too fast. Be sure to drink enough fluids when you are sick.
On the other hand, your dizziness could be caused by OTC medications, especially those with antihistamines in the ingredients. Other causes of dizziness are related to medical complications, such as inner ear infections and pneumonia. Because of this, if your flu worsens and you develop dizziness, be sure to call a medical professional for advice.
