Pelvic Floor Tension Myalgia
After a strenuous vaginal delivery, some women may develop a condition called pelvic floor tension myalgia, also known as a chronic tension of the pelvic floor muscles. One way to prevent this from happening if you are opting to someday have a vaginal delivery is to practice Kegel exercises. That said, if you are experiencing what may be pelvic floor tension myalgia, be on the lookout for a weighted feeling in the pelvis, just below the belly button; burning; itching; and pain within the vagina.
Be sure to get in contact with your OB/GYN doctor as soon as possible.
