Irritable Bowel Syndrome
A major chronic disease that cause diarrhea is called irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The gastrointestinal disorder is known to cause a number of stomach-related problems, including bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and pain in the abdomen. However, the symptoms are known to vary from person to person. Someone might get constipated and gas while another person could have diarrhea. Others might alternate between both constipation and diarrhea throughout the day.
While the cause of IBS has yet to be figured out, it is hypothesized that IBS is linked to how the brain talks to the gut, as well as any changes to the gut microbiome. Once you have developed irritable bowel disease, there is not much you can do to control the symptoms aside from taking medication that can keep the condition mitigated. You should also keep a food diary to figure out which foods will trigger a flare up. It has been discovered that ultra-processed foods, such as white bread, can make the symptoms much worse.
