So, we already covered walking. Now, it’s time to speed things up. Jogging and other aerobic exercises of moderate intensity have been found to reverse heart damage that results from normal aging.
Indeed, aging causes the arteries and veins to stiffen. The left chamber of the heart may also start to harden, putting you at risk of heart attack. One study divided participants into two groups. The first group did 2 years of supervised exercise for 5 days a week. The other group just did balance exercises and yoga. Those who did a higher intensity exercise had better heart function than those who stuck to low intensity exercises.
