Unorganized Clutter
Another sign of hoarding would be horrendously unorganized clutter. Hoarder houses will usually look like a tornado swept through. Nothing is in the proper place. You might see boxes that are stacked up and open, exposing the contents inside. Loose possessions are often piled up, because space is lacking.
An example of this can be seen in the kitchen. A hoarder might pile up books and baskets in the kitchen, on the counter, while the kitchen utensils are found in another room. Items in the bedroom might belong in the bathroom.
