Difficulty Swallowing and Heartburn
Chronic heartburn and/or troubles swallowing could be an indicator of cancer. A condition known as Barrett’s esophagus is a health condition that causes frequent heartburn due to the exposure of stomach acid. Although it is not common, this condition can lead to the development of esophageal cancer which is also associated with difficulties swallowing. Fortunately, this type of cancer is often treated with either medication or surgery.
