Hepatitis A Vaccines
Hepatitis A Vaccines are simply, inactive shots of HAV. The vaccines are also available as combinations of Hepatitis A & B vaccines. The vaccines are designed to trigger the body’s defense system to generate antibodies to protect a person should they come into contact with the virus. The vaccines are given as 2 shots over a 6 month period. Combination vaccines (those containing Hepatitis A & B vaccines) are administered as 3 shots over the same period.
