Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumors
PNETs form when excess cells form and accumulate inside the womb and become cancerous during childhood or early adulthood. The most common primitive neuroectodermal tumors, medulloblastomas, form in the cerebellum and spread to other areas of the brain and spine. Common symptoms include; balance problems, vision problems, nausea, vomiting, morning headaches, mood swings and unexplained weight loss/gain.
